Not all honey is the same. The’ beelady honey’ is raw honey, from a single origin apiary ( from one site) and is unpasteurised (not heat treated). I simply remove the supers (boxes with honey frames) from the hives, spin the frames to remove the honey, sieve the honey twice and then put it into jars. Most supermarket honey has been mixed from many different origins and heated to remove any of the goodness. Raw honey contains high levels of antioxidents. Honey is a broad spectrum anti- bacterial agent and is lower in fructose, allowing the body to absorb it much slower than refined sugar.
